Lovely restaurant in a very nice setting. Staff and owner are extremely friendly, interesting and varied menu, well worth a visit.

What a great place - a friendly rustic Portuguese restaurant high in the mountains inland from Luz. The owner is very hands on, greeting everyone and reciting the menu verbally. Food includes a range of excellent meaty stews, heavy on smoky braised lamb or boar with potato. They serve excellent chacouterie and their own olives. Surprisingly they also have a great range of incidentally vegetarian and vegan food. As well as the food and incredible views, there is a nice little children's play area. Thoroughly recommended.

Food was good. I had the boar, it seemed cooked well. The quantity of food that came out justifies the price in my opinion. If I were passing I might consider returning. The attention to detail is what keeps this a 4 star for me. Glasses were very scratched as was the cutlery. Petty? Possibly, but at this price point I expect utensils and crockery to be in good condition.
