Recommend taking a stroll along the entire tidal basin to enjoy the full experience. The monuments in the tidal basin are absolutely beautiful and tend to have smaller crowds which make for a very peaceful visit.

Great memorial. It's so close to others of note that it's a shame it doesn't seem to attract as many visitors. I suppose that helps make it all the more peaceful to enjoy. I visited during the summer and was disappointed to see that some of the fountains were off, and in others the water was stagnant and full of algae. It could've used some upkeep. Well worth a visit regardless.
