This was one of the finest Indian meals I have ever had, and that includes at restaurants in Surrey...and even India! The samosas were of another realm all together, they made me totally rethink everything I thought I knew about this simple appetizer. A sizzling tikka platter was full of robust flavours, the lamb rogan josh just melted in my mouth and was absolutely perfectly spiced. Fish pakoras were delicate and fiery all at once, with a perfect cilantro chutney that balanced the dish perfectly. And the garlic naan....wow. Order 2. I’m totally blown away that such a little gem is sparkling out here in a sweet little town like Agassiz: I wish Taj could come to Vancouver!

Great food, great service. Recommended to anyone who enjoys authentic Indian dishes. Located right in the heart of downtown Agassiz for easy access.

Food is expensive for portion size to any indian place i have ever been too. Same prices but less than half the portion. It was really tasty tho and the naan was baked right after the order, so super fresh BUT We ended up getting a rock in either our saag or the naan that my girl bit hard into, "we think it might be a small peice of the white stone you see in those ovens" just a guess from what it looked like, 1/8th" peice slightly larger. Well we waited for the paying group to leave and then called her over decreatly to complain about it, as well as the fact our panneer rice had no panneer in it? Right.... she would only discound %20 off the panneer rice with no actual cheese in it, and the rock we were told sorry too bad they dont know where our rock came from so too bad. Server looked like she was very sorry but the place simply dont care if you break your teeth or not. I will never go back ever. We ended up paying for our food we refused to continue eatting, oh and not only would they not comp the meal they fed us with rocks in it, they never gave us food we could then actially eat safely. We left with paying a $45 bill for 1 naan bread, vegi pakora, 2 meet samosas, saag and the panneer rice they forgot to put panneer in, and only got to eat the samosas and pakora, the rest we were forced to pay for and feed to our dogs as we were not given replacement for the rest or comped... Eat at your own risk.
