We have never had a bad meal! Staff is fantastic, very friendly. Best BBQ around no question! Every veterans day they give Free meals to vetrens, how awesome is that! My husband and I never miss it...

Stopped in here passing through. Food was delicious. I ordered carry out and got back to the truck and heading down the road and discovered no utensils to eat Mac and Cheese or corn pudding. No napkins either.

Living in Austin, TX has set the bar high, but City Barbecue is quite good. The brisket was dry for my taste, but well smoked and lean. Those who prefer lean meats will probably like it better. My leg and thigh meat chicken was excellent, and the corn pudding and potato salad complimented both nicely. Barbecue sauce in three varieties is available, and pickles and onions are self-serve. The wood paneling and a couple of bench-seat tables are reminiscent of a Texas barbecue hall, as are the acoustics. This is not a quiet dining experience, but closer to an upbeat western feel. The booths and remaining traditional four seat tables provide a little more comfort, and there is some local flare in the pictures hung up. If you're in the area, I recommend grabbing a bite to eat, and save room for dessert at the Graeter's Ice Cream parlour next door.
