Went during lunch. Line moves quickly. Decent pricing for Austin BBQ. I got the turkey baked potato for $8. Turkey was cut thick and juicy and the potato comes loaded at no extra charge. They have a spicy pickle juice on the condiment bar that hubs enjoyed. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because we couldn't find butter for the bread.

Schmidt Family Barbecue has a breakfast taco that I would absolutely put up against any taco in Austin. It’s that darn good! You know how you build things up in your mind and then they never live up to your own expectation. This dang taco isn’t that. It will exceed your expectations! Just put a little bbq sauce on the brisket taco and you’re in for a rare treat. Also if you’re there at dinner, ask for burnt ends, baby back ribs and do NOT miss that poblano cream corn.
