Shanghai Museum of Glass

The Shanghai Museum of Glass is located in Shanghai's Baoshan District. The museum is housed on the former site of an industrial glass kiln workshop, the Shanghai Light Industry Glass Company. The museum's spacious interior includes many exhibits, artistic displays of glass work, information on the process of glassblowing, descriptions of the glass industry in Shanghai, and a live-demonstration workshop. A smaller public arts space allows visitors the chance to try their own hand at glass making. Overall the Shanghai Museum of Glass is a fun and thoroughly enjoyable museum suitable for people of all ages.

Business Hour

Business hours: 9.30-18.00 (Summer time May-October) 9.30-17.00 (Winter time November-April). Glass Labyrinth opening hours: 11:00-17:00 Children's Glass Museum opening hours: summer time: 10:00-18:00 (admission stopped at 17:00)
winter time: 10:00-17: 00 (admission stopped at 16:00). Open on Tuesday-Sunday closed on Monday. If Monday is a statutory holiday the museum will remain open as usual.
