The Scottish Parliament

The Scottish Parliament building is open again, Monday to Friday. In the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Scottish Parliament building opened in 2004 and has since welcomed over 3 million visitors. Currently open from Monday to Friday, visitors can join a free guided tour or see parliament in action, depending on which day you visit (booking essential). Discover the parliament through our exhibition, and enjoy our café and shop. We look forward to welcoming you to this 'landmark for 21st century democracy'.

On one hand the money spent seems like a lot and it must have been a lot at the time. However, for those who are able to appreciate the workings of the Spanish mind, the Scottish Parliament, architecturally, is a treat. It's too prodding inside, but the outside walls and the surroundings reflect a much, much bigger picture. It has been my privilege to contemplate politics within and outwith this Parliament.
