Work Christmas meals are always disappointing. Not at the Cow Shed. Excellent service, fabulous food. Can't fault them. One if not the best Sunday roasts in Bristol, so even if it's not Christmas...

The Cowshed was chosen as the venue for my office Christmas party. Unfortunately the vegetarian option is barely even a token effort - looked like a veggie pasty next to a couple of bits of kale. Didn't even come with the roasted potatoes and other veg that the omnivores get. I realise that this restaurant primarily caters to meat lovers, but I would have thought any reasonably decent chef could come up with something slightly less insulting. Service is also fairly questionable - offered us a round of drinks after our meal, bought them over and then immediately told us we had to leave because the next booking had arrived. Offered that we could finish up in "the bar" - a narrow thoroughfare next to diners, not actually big enough to accommodate our party.
