  • Qorikancha / Coricancha

Very impressive site within the city, and one the most important temple in the Inca empire. Dedicated primarily to Inti, the Sun God. It is one of the most revered temples of Cusco.
  • Plaza De Armas

A beautiful place to walk by, with plenty of places to spend time eating. The architecture is gorgeous. Make sure you visit the Cathedral if you like paintings.
  • Twelve Angled Stone

You just have to see it. Spend some time there in wonder. Just how did they do that?
  • San Blas

San Blas is known as the bohemian part of Cusco. This part is where you will find all kinds of artists on the streets: juggling, braiding hair, crafting jewellery. Many art galleries and shops are to be found here and some of the bars and cafés have an artsy chic to them, present live music at nights, you will find expensive but breathtakingly beautiful handmade clothes, and good food. The small cobbled streets are connected by many many stairs, which will challenge your fitness but gives the advantage of a car-free environment. Views of the center from some points up here should not be missed, either.
  • Museo De Plantas Sagradas

This museum is one of very few ones of this kind in all the world. Learn more about the various plants and their effects and uses that the Incas and Shamans have been using for hundreds of years.
  • Saqsaywaman / Saksaywaman

Great to see these ruins in addition to Machu Picchu as it gives context to the history of the Incas.
