One Day Trip To Cusco
D 1
  • Qorikancha / Coricancha

Very impressive site within the city, and one the most important temple in the Inca empire. Dedicated primarily to Inti, the Sun God. It is one of the most revered temples of Cusco.
  • Plaza De Armas

One of the most beautiful Main Squares in the country and, probably, in the world. It has more than five hundred years of history! The Cathedral is amazingly unique, the colonial architecture is captivating, and the city around the square is magical, to say the least.
  • Mercado Central de San Pedro

Close to the main points of interest in Cusco and full of vibrant sights, smells, and tastes to pique your appetite. This market is roughly divided into sections selling fruit, vegetables, bread, cheese, and even popular items to take home such as coffee, chocolate, or quinoa. Other souvenirs can also be found here for lower prices than many shops around town.
  • Saqsaywaman / Saksaywaman

Great to see these ruins in addition to Machu Picchu as it gives context to the history of the Incas.
  • Statue of Christ

Cristo Blanco, or the White Christ, is a statue standing more than six meters high overlooking the valley around Cusco. If you've visited Sacsayhuaman it's just a short walk away and the views are breathtaking.
